F.A.Q.

How is the weather and the water temperature like?

The average temperature year-round in the Bahamas is between 70 - 80ºF during the day, and the water temperatures range from 74ºF in the winter to around 82ºF in the summer. September – May is the most pleasant, with temperatures hovering between 70 - 75ºF.

How is the dive-plan. You have specific weekdays to go to Wreck or Shark alley ?

We decide the dive sites on a daily basis, in relation to the weather and divers level of certification.

What kinds of dive sites you go and what kind of boats you have?

We organize Coral Reef, Blue Hole, Shark, and Sea Star & Theo's Wreck We use a Beachcat Catamaran 38' X 12" with 2 Yamaha Engines 225 HP 4 stroke each giant stride off the side and front and one Eduardono 25 feet, with a Yamaha 150 HP 4 stroke back flip off the side type entry.

I found online programs that teach and test everything but do not include the dives themselves. They state that after you pass and complete the online course all I would need to do is take my online certificate to a PADI Dive center and just do the dives themselves. Do you honor this, and if you do how long does it take to get certified?

As a PADI center we do honor the online course, just bring along the printout of the results. You have to complete the pool sessions, and 4 training dives that you can complete in 3 days.

I don't have anyone to take the course with. Where will I find someone to scuba dive with?

You don't need to have a friend to take the course with. Scuba diving is a social sport. When you sign up for a class, there will be other people whose skill level is exactly the same as yours. Many of these people will be looking for dive buddies as well.

Where does the boat depart from?

We are the only dive shop in the island where the boat leaves directly from the beach.

Is there any shore diving from the resort or close by?

Regrettably no shore dive is available, maximum depth is 10 ft for about a nautical mile from the shore.
